3.13 Baltimore Brown Clowns — QB Ryan Lindley

In the real world: Lindley came into 2011 as one of college football's top QB prospects, but his draft stock took a big hit due to durability and accuracy issues. He went to the Arizona Cardinals, who I figure will make him the third-string "developmental" QB. Lindley has blamed his accuracy problems on poor footwork. ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski says, "I looked at a bunch of his tapes. Now, I can put a highlight reel together and show you 25 throws that you would say this guy should be a first-round pick. Unfortunately, I could show you 25 throws where you say he shouldn't be drafted at all."
In the TUFF world: Usually, when a guy has first-round arm strength but has inconsistent accuracy (in a less competitive conference, the Mountain West) and falls to Round 6, that speaks of poor touch, not footwork. Hey, it's late Round 3, and this is a good spot to take a "iffy" prospect like this.
